8. Hugo Weaving

2005 saw DC's dystopian graphic novel V For Vendetta adapted to the screen (much to the chagrin of creator Alan Moore) with Hugo Weaving in the lead role as faceless freedom fighter V. Come 2011, and Weaving was back under a mask - for Marvel this time - as Captain America's nemesis, evil Nazi scientist Red Skull, in The First Avenger.

7. Natalie Portman

Starring alongside Weaving in V For Vendetta was Natalie Portman as Evey Hammond, V's love interest and protege. And the same year that Weaving crossed over to Marvel she did the same, featuring in the Thor films as the object of the God of Thunder's affections, physicist Jane Foster.
