Clearly Maurice Binder had something of a fascination with trampolines, given that they formed a key part of his sequences for both The Spy Who Loved Me and its follow up.
The objective was clearly to capture the idea of weightlessness to go along with the space theme, and the title screen was a perfectly timed moment in that agenda.
