Most Recent Film: Inside LlewynDavis (2013) Next Film: Hail, Caesar!(2016) Best Film: Fargo (1995) Nobody makes movies like the Coen Brothers. If that's something that is said about a lot of filmmakers, with the Coens it's a statement that never, ever rings untrue. This dynamic duo have built a filmography of motion picture masterpieces with an idiosyncratic touch unlike any of their contemporaries. And truly, the Coens have their own specific approach and style that somehow carries throughout multiple genres and yet... their personal stamp remains in tact every time. Even their "lesser" efforts are still totally them. It's hard to state the impact that these two have had on cinema, but they have delivered countless masterpieces across the board: Blood Simple, Raising Arizona, Miller's Crossing, Barton Fink, The Big Lebowski, No Country For Old Men. Recent efforts such as A Serious Man, True Grit, and Inside Llewyn Davis are proof that they're still in their prime. The Coens have served up a dazzlingly showcase of talent across the years; few have matched it. Like this list? Who didn't deserve their spot?
