25 Best Easter Eggs & References In The MCU So Far

18. James Gunn's Friends (Guardians Of The Galaxy)

As is the way with James Gunn, he likes to include his friends, family and acquaintances in his movies. In Guardians of the Galaxy, some of these were blatantly obvious, while some were much harder to spot. Troma figurehead Lloyd Kaufman was an inmate in the galactic prison the Kyln and so was Gunn's former leading man (from the likes of Slither) Nathan Fillion. Rob Zombie - another of Gunn's friends and a fellow film director associated strongly with gory horror offerings - voices the Ravager's navigator, though he goes both unseen and uncredited. In an even cuter example of this, Gunn's dog can actually be seen as a hologram on Morag, in the movie's opening scenes, when Star-Lord was wandering the now deserted planet in search of the Orb Infinity Stone.
