Film: Return Of The Jedi When: During the final battle, when Luke gives in to the dark side and attacks the Emperor. Two lightsabers clashing is always a wondrous sight, simply capturing the saga's swashbuckling sensibilities and the battle of good and evil, but here that's taken further, with the blades striking right in front of the cackling Emperor, distanced just far enough from him to show his control of the situation. The various releases have had some trouble with this shot, sometimes putting Luke's saber behind Vader's, something that was ultimately fixed on the Blu-Ray.
