George A. Romero's films need no introduction. Credited with popularising the zombie formula seen in video games and films the world over today, Day Of The Dead may not be his most critically successful film in the 'Dead' series, but it's his goriest.

The film's most famous scene (pictured above) features the despicable Captain Henry Rhodes quite literally being torn into bite-size pieces by the undead horde. Romero doesn't skimp on censoring it either - every organ and limb is shown being removed from its original place.
