25 Film Sequels To Watch Out For In 2014

12. Transformers: Age Of Extinction

Plot: From IMDB: "A mechanic and his daughter make a discovery that brings down Autobots and Decepticons - and a paranoid government official - on them." Michael Bay and Mark Wahlberg apparently had a good time working together on Pain & Gain as Wahlberg has taken Shia LaBeouf's place as the star of this film. In fact, Transformers: Age of Extinction features an entirely new cast, other than Wahlberg. There's also Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, and Stanley Tucci. Of all the sequels coming out this year that feature a different cast, Age of Extinction looks least likely to be affected by it. In this franchise, the spectacle has always trumped everything else, unless there are people out there who really saw the films just for Shia LaBeouf. That's highly doubtful. When it's all said and done, the question that will remain is how many more Transformers films do they plan to make after this one. This is one of the few franchises that seem to be entirely critic-proof. There are those who despise these films, but apparently, many more who love them. The only way I see an end to this series is when Michael Bay finally decides he's had enough, he did not seem eager to make this one so it'll be interesting to see when he finally decides to bow out. U.S. Release Date: June 27th
