Plot: Harry and Lloyd search for their long lost children in order to gain a new kidney. No matter how much you may have enjoyed the original, there's no hiding from the fact that this movie seems like a bad idea. Lots can happen in twenty years: Jim Carrey has been struggling to stay relevant and the Farrellys have not made a decent movie in about a decade. Dumb and Dumber To seems like a desperate attempt to recapture the glory that these once-great comedians achieved twenty years ago, but all signs currently point to this one coming up short. I hope I am wrong, I really do, but, when there are six different people credited as writers on the film, that's more than enough reason to be worried. Then again, maybe the Farrellys will prove us all wrong and make a good movie. They probably know that audience approval will be a serious uphill battle the second time around. The best scenario would be Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, and the Farrellys all willing to put their best foot forward and show us that they can still be great. It's unlikely that will be the case, but being a pessimist gets tiring after awhile. I'm willing to give this movie an honest chance. Will you? U.S. Release Date: November 14th
