God, what a trainwreck. Perpetually inept, Peter is a giant wuss who sidles up to Voldemort and succeeds at exactly one thing in life, which is killing the only people who were ever nice to him. There's not exactly a whole lot to sympathize with, especially after that pathetic scene where he slavishly cuts off his own hand because Voldemort tells him to. But something has to be said for the fact that the only reason he dies is because he hesitates when he is ordered to kill Harry. He can't go through with it, and his silver prosthetic arm strangles him to death (in the books at least). It's an overt death that is omitted from the films, but it's nicer to imagine he was killed off alone in the darkness rather than imagining some reprieve. When all is said and done, he's only, like, 98% disgusting, contemptible excuse for a human being.
