Halloween is less than 3 weeks away, and what better way to get into the seasonal mood than loading up on classic horror films? Given that all the multiplexes have to offer right now is the awful Annabelle (a grim option for even the most desperate gore hound), the best choice for those in search of their horror fill is to seek out the classics you maybe haven't seen in a while or, for your sins, perhaps have never got round to watching at all (shame on you!) In fairness, this list is comprised of a mixture of iconic classics and contemporary hits that will surely become genre classics, in order to provide a more diverse offering. Not every entry here is a runaway critical hit, but they're each unforgettable in their own demented, often hilarious way. 25 films obviously isn't enough to include the complete cream of the crop, so in aiming for a diverse list, a number of classics sadly had to make the chop...
