16. Steve Earle Played Walon And Had Two Songs In The Series
Steve Earle, the renowned protest singer whose version of Way Down In The Hole opened the fifth season, actually maintained a starring role throughout that season in particular (and appeared several times in earlier series too). He played Walon, the sponsor to heroin addict Bubbles (Andre Royo), and had the cover of his album Copperhead Road stitched onto the back of his jacket. He also contributed the song Feel Alright to the shows soundtrack, which was used in the montage in the finale to season two.
