Billed As: The sequel to 2016's gloriously violent, ultra-meta, riotously funny breath of fresh air that was Deadpool. This time, 'Pool (Ryan Reynolds) will seek to protect a young mutant, Russell (Julian Dennison), from time-travelling mutant Cable (Josh Brolin).

Hype: Everyone knows what they're getting with this one, and as long as it hasn't blown all the best jokes in the trailers, there's actually a pretty solid chance it improves upon the original.

If the plot is more interesting and it isn't quite so indebted to generic superhero formula - especially as it pertains to the villain and Morena Baccarin's damsel-in-distress Vanessa - DP2 can become a rare sequel that decisively exceeds what came before.

With Cable in the mix alongside debuting superhero Domino (Zazie Beetz), this should be every bit the entertaining riot the original was...and then some.
