Audiences first saw Gambit in the somewhat underwhelming X:Men Origins: Wolverine, but the new Days Of Future Past continuity has wiped that movie out of existence, so Fox need to use spin off movies to build up the X-Men universe again.
Very little is known about the return of the Cajun card thrower to the big screen other than the fact that Channing Tatum will have the title role. Thankfully, that's a good start.
