Jason Momoa is set to star as the amphibious demi-god in DC's Aquaman, and the watery backdrop should give the movie a completely different look to traditional comic book films.

Very little is known about the movie, with no director or supporting cast having been chosen yet. DC look set to base their cinematic venture on the New 52 comic book series, so audiences will probably be surprised by how hardcore the King of Atlantis can be.
