25 Most Mind-Bending Moments In Sci-Fi Movie History

7. The Jump To Lightspeed - Star Wars (1977)

url-3 One could argue that nearly every moment onscreen in A New Hope would be considered mind-bending, at least considering the time it was released. It€™s pretty common knowledge that this movie (then known simply as Star Wars) set a new standard for not only visual effects in film, but filmmaking as we know it. But to me, the one truly mind-bending moment in the film is when our characters are aboard the Millennium Falcon and are escaping Imperial forces after blasting their way out of Mos Isely. To get the Star Destroyers off their tail, Han Solo (Harrison Ford) makes the jump to light-speed. The stars zoom past us and the Millenium Falcon disappears. The effect is still a truly remarkable one, and an exhilarating sight to behold. I can only imagine how intense it must have been for audiences seeing it on the big screen for the first time in 1977.

What KC Mobley lacks in height, he makes up for in sheer passion. Especially when it comes to films and 80's heavy metal. Don't be afraid, he doesn't bite...much.
