4. Incredibles 2
If the Wreck-It Ralph sequel was frustratingly slow to come to life, the sequel to The Incredibles was positively glacial. A massive 14 years after Bob Parr and his family shone at the head of Brad Bird's lovingly crafted, nostalgic tale of superhero movies of a certain age, the Parr family are back.
And though it's been 14 years in the making, the story will pick up immediately after the conclusion of the first movie, with the Incredibles dealing with the rise of the Underminer. And on top of that, there's more focus on the family dynamic as the family - and Bob in particular - struggles to adapt to normal life and the revelation of Jack-Jack's untold powers.
We can expect Pixar's usual blend of mature themes, emotion and broad entertainment strokes, and if the studio and Brad Bird manage to recapture the same lightning in a bottle (with a few more genre observations thrown in), they'll be on to a winner.
