For his final film, the legendary anime director Hayao Miyazaki surprised fans by helming a fictionalized biopic of Jiro Horikoshi, an aircraft designer who rose to prominence in Word War II.

Literally every single frame from Miyzaki's swan song could be hung up in an art gallery, so choosing a perfect shot is a difficult task, but the image of Horikoshi kissing his lifelong love Naoko Satomi is particularly poignant for those who have already seen the film.
