9. The Emperor's Final Demise

The Emperor was the epitome of evil, and Darth Vader's final act in killing his master ensured that Return Of The Jedi granted closure to an incredible story which had been spread over the three movies.

It was impossible to find a better ending to Return of the Jedi, and in killing the Emperor Vader received some form of salvation for his heinous acts.
