Child's Play, Puppet Master, Demonic Toys, Poltergeist, The Conjuring/Annabelle - if there's one thing these films taught you it's that toys can be pretty damn terrifying. As a result, that clown you've had since you were a kid is now hidden away. Dolls are turned to face the other way. Puppets are covered with clothes and blankets. Anything so they're not looking at you.
