Kirsten Dunst later starred in the music video for the number one hit single 'I Knew I Loved You' by Australian pop band Savage Garden that had taken its name from a passage in Anne Rice’s follow-up novel The Vampire Lestat:

In spite of all the refinements of civilization that conspired to make art - the dizzying perfection of the string quartet or the sprawling grandeur of Fragonard's canvases - beauty was savage.
