15. H.R. Giger Was Furious At His Lack Of Credit For Alien: Resurrection
Despite his well-deserved status as a legendary and influential artists, H.R. Giger is arguably most famous for his work in designing Alien's iconic creatures and much of the extra-terrestrial architecture seen throughout the film. His work endured throughout the franchise, with all the film's sequels taking further influence from his original designs.
However in 1997, 18 years after Alien's release, Giger sent a furious letter to 20th Century Fox for failing to credit him for his alien designs. Claiming that the designs were closer to his originals than what was seen in Aliens and AlienĀ³, he wished upon the studio "an alien breeding inside their chests". Ick.
