After the "1 year later" title, Reed is hiding away from the rest of the group while trying to lie low and avoid the government. After a conversation between two foreign men in a store, one of the men gets into a car and appears to loosen up the skin around his face, revealing Reed's identity. It's one of the weirder and more interesting uses of Reed's powers imaginable, to contort his skin to make his identity look different, and it's one of the film's few ideas that actually kinda works, even if it is a little bit goofy. More like this, please!
