25 WTF Moments From Fantastic Four

20. Doom's Motives Are Terrible

Any good villain needs at least a solid motive, and Doom's are terrible before he's even transformed into a real bad guy. When the potential of inter-dimensional travel is discussed between himself, the Four and Dr. Storm, Storm notes that they could use the technology to help save Earth in the event of a major catastrophe. Doom replies with a long-winded monologue about how perhaps Earth shouldn't be saved and what happens should be allowed to happen. Then the rest of his villainy is simply being mad at being left in the other dimension and the accident causing him to lose his mind. In short, it's generic villain nonsense 101 and not something fans of comic book movies are really prepared to go along with anymore.
