It's something of a tradition that the Jurassic Park franchise features incredibly annoying child characters. Hell, for all its brilliance, even the original movie is guilty of this: Tim and Lex were frustrating to put up with, but at least it fed into compelling character development as they chipped away at Alan's (Sam Neill) cold, child-hating exterior. The Lost World featured Ian Malcolm's (Jeff Goldblum) absurd gymnast daughter, and Jurassic Park III's plot revolved largely around a missing child, while Jurassic World sadly isn't a whole lot better. Zach and Gray just aren't very likeable for one: Zach's the mopey older brother, while Gray is the irritating motor-mouth smart a**, and so when they're put in mortal danger, it's tough to give much of a damn. Because they spend a good deal of the movie separated from the other major characters, all their little adventure does is detract from Pratt's screen time, which surely has to be more worthwhile than these two.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
