13. The Most Incompetent Sheriff Ever - Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

Jason Lives begins by reintroducing us to the survivor of the previous two films, Tommy Jarvis, who is now all grown up. He's absolutely paranoid about the idea of Jason not really being dead so he decides to dig up his grave, and cremate his body for good measure.

Naturally, things go horribly wrong. Jason is inadvertently bought back to life, he kills Tommy's friend, and is now free to go on another murderous adventure.

With that, Tommy does what any rational person would do, go to the police. He runs into the Sheriff's office claiming that there has just been a murder (and likely more to come) and not only does the Sheriff not bat an eye but he threatens to arrest Tommy (and ultimately does) if he doesn't calm down. Sure, most horror movie cops are usually inept, but this is just taken to an absurd level.
