25 WTF Moments From The Nightmare On Elm Street Films

8. The Roseanne Barr/Tom Arnold Cameos - Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare

Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold. The infamous couple met in in 1983 when Arnold, then an unknown comic, had opened for the rising stand-up who billed herself as a "domestic goddess." In 1988, Barr hired Arnold to be a writer on her new ABC sitcom, Roseanne. The show quickly established itself as a critical darling and ratings hit, making Barr an instant superstar. The couple wed two years later, resulting in a tumultuous marriage that ended four years after that. And while the couple will always be remembered for many things, to horror fans, they will always be best remembered for their odd cameo in Freddy€˜s Dead. Now that Springwood is children free (to keep Freddy away), Roseanne plays a woman with baby fever and Arnold plays her significant other who makes it his duty to slap some sense into her. Seriously, why are these two in this movie? Somebody needs to explain this.
