Now, Skyfall also had a huge problem with visual effects: the opening sequence in which Bond rides a motorcycle on top of a roof in particular had laughably bad green-screening, as did Bond atop the train later on in that scene, but things don't appear to have advanced much here. For starters, after Bond triggers an explosion during the pre-titles sequence while training his gun on Sciarra, he causes his own building to collapse around him, but we're never convinced that Bond is actually in the scene because we can see the digital seam between Craig's body and the environment around him. Also, this snow plane shot from the Austria sequence of the film later on is just laughably bad, and the crashing helicopter in the climax also doesn't look too convincing. Why is it that Hollywood always seems to struggle with helicopters so much compared to other vehicles? And how can a $300 million movie look this technically slapdash?
