What young man growing up during the late '70s and early '80s didn't have a slight crush Lex Luthor's assistant/mistress Eve Teschmacher in the original Superman movie? Portrayed by Valerie Perrine, the busty character never really did much other than look pretty and play angel's advocate whenever Lex informed her of one of his ridiculously evil plans. Though, despite her essential uselessness, the character still has a spot in the hearts of many Superman fans. Though, at the time the filmmakers had their sights on a much bigger actress to play the role. They wanted Academy Award-winning actress Goldie Hawn. The actress instead opted to star in the comic mystery/thriller Foul Play with Chevy Chase and Dudley Moore. Probably the right choice.
