Who's Involved: Dwayne Johnson has been confirmed to be playing Shazam's arch rival Black Adam, and the movie will be executive produced by prolific produer Toby Emmerich, while the script comes from Darren Lenke (Shrek Forever After, Jack the Giant Slayer), Geoff Johns (countless DC cartoons and the new Flash TV series) and first-timer Bill Birch. Shazam himself hasn't been cast yet and probably won't for a while. What's It About: A young boy, Billy Batson, who transforms into an adult superhero whenever he says the word "Shazam!" Why We Should Care: Shazam is one of the most iconic comic book characters in history, even at one point outselling Superman under his original name of Captain Marvel. When's It Due: April 5, 2019, so don't get too excited yet, even if this one has huge potential.
