Hype: The story of Unamerican Traitor Edward Snowden is a hell of a compelling one with political intrigue, deception, All The President's Men style drama and incredible stakes. That it's real is flabberghasting, and only Oliver Stone - that militant maker of anti-establishment films - could have been trusted to make it.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt leads a very starry cast (including a low level role for Nic Cage that is delightfully alluring), and it's guaranteed to be one of the more explosive films of the year. Whether it's even good is arguably not that important for some, but the critical response to the various early screenings has been great.
