Release Date: October 27th

Billed As:

An Awards-buzz worthy tale of a violent home invasion, directed by George Clooney and starring his buddy Matt Damon. it also comes with a Coen Brothers script and the added delights of Oscar Isaac and Julianne Moore. Very exciting.

Hype:

Unfortunately, the reviews haven't been great - it's rather uncharitably been called Fargo's idiot child - but that's put that down to the same sort of misunderstanding of a black comedy from the Coens and Clooney as blighted Intolerable Cruelty, shall we? After all, lots of the reviews have been deliciously positive.

The film's been kicking about since the 80s when the Coens were going to make it themselves, and Clooney has added his own touches. For his fans, that'll be a great thing, but Clooney doesn't have an unblemished record as a film-maker, and there will be some who will see that as an issue.
