28. Mr. Harrigan's Phone
Stephen King adaptations have been having quite the moment lately, especially on Netflix, and next up for the small screen treatment is Mr. Harrigan's Phone - a novella from King's 2020 collection If It Bleeds.
The story revolves around Craig (Jaeden Martell), a teenager who bonds with the elderly Mr. Harrigan (Donald Sutherland) and gives him a phone.
When Mr. Harrigan dies, Craig continues to call the number and speak about those who bully and torment him, prompting Mr. Harrigan's spirit to exact brutal revenge on his young friend's behalf.
It's one hell of a setup, and given that King's short story has been relatively well-received, hopefully director John Lee Hancock (The Founder, The Little Things) will do it firm justice.
Mr. Harrigan's Phone releases on Netflix on October 5.
