14. CGI Paul Walker

Props to Furious 7's editors and VFX team Weta Digital for doing such a brilliant job making it feel like Paul Walker pretty much finished all of his scenes before his untimely death. There are, however, a few moments where the CGI is quite noticeable, and great though it is, it definitely creates a bizarre uncanny valley effect for viewers keeping their eyes peeled. There are three majorly conspicuous moments: firstly, after Dom and Brian escape from the Hypersport and Dom says, "Still miss the bullets, Brian?", then when the gang are all lined up looking at the Los Angeles skyline at the start of the third act (the most obvious one), and of course, at the end when Brian is on the beach with Mia and Jack. Again, a brilliant job no doubt, and one probably worthy of a Best Visual Effects Oscar nomination, but nothing can replicate the human face with photo-realistic authenticity quite yet.
