3.10 to Yuma to start shooting next month!
It's now been confirmed that Christian Bale will star in the western remake 3.10 to Yuma alongside Russell Crowe for Walk the Line director James Mangold. The movie will begin shooting next month and will be distributed by Lionsgate. Plot info from Coming Soon (back in August)... Yuma is based on the 1957 film that starred Glenn Ford as captured outlaw Ben Wade who finds himself in the custody of small-time rancher Dan Evans. The rancher is secretly trying to take the outlaw to a railway station to catch a train to Yuma for the outlaws court date. A battle of wills ensues. Christian Bale is set to play the small time rancher Dan Evans with Russell Crowe as the outlaw Ben Wade, a role made famous in the original by the late Glenn Ford. I can't wait for this movie, Bale and Crowe are probably the two best actors working today and to see them opposite each other in their prime will just be amazing. It's great that we are seeing a rebirth of the western movie as of late, it's a genre that's been missing from our screens for too long. source - variety, coming soon
