As Room's Jacob Tremblay and Beasts of No Nation's Abraham Attah head to the stage to present the Best Live Action Short award, it's clear that their unconventional pairing is being played for laughs: Attah naturally towers over Tremblay, and so Chris Rock emerges on the stage with a giant box for Tremblay to stand on, and a small plank for Attah. 8. Holocaust Movie Director Gets Played Off By A Wagner Song

As expected, Holocaust movie Son of Saul wins the Best Foreign Film Oscar, and after writer-director Laszlo Nemes gives his speech, the play-off music kicks in...which just so happens to be Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries. Considering that Wagner was Hitler's favourite composer, that wasn't the most tasteful or considered idea, and the orchestra was promptly silenced and quickly switched to playing the Indiana Jones theme.
