David Hasselhoff meanwhile plays Fin's father, Gil, who Fin approaches to help prevent the Sharknadoes from merging into a "wall" by taking a shuttle into space to activate a secret weapon. As it turns out, Gil worked for NASA as part of their astronaut program but never got to actually go into outer space. If you were worried that The Hoff was just going to get off light with a brief cameo, though, fear not: he's in almost the entire third act of the film, and is as gleefully entertaining as you'd expect.
