During a perfectly funny scene in "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story," professional dodgeball captain Peter La Fleur (Vince Vaughn) is surprised to find that the world champion pedaler Lance Armstrong is a big fan of his. But when Peter admits to the champ, just hours before the finals, that he has put down the red rubber ball for good, Lance proceeds to give Peter the guilt trip of champions. "You know, once I was thinking about quitting when I was diagnosed with brain, lung and testicular cancer--all at the same time," says Armstrong. "But with the love and support of my friends and family I got back on the bike, and won the Tour de France five times in a row." Back in 2004 it was awesome. Now that we know "love" and "support" were just Armstrong's code words for erythropoietin and steroids, it takes home the gold medal for awkwardness. The cyclist formerly known as Le Boss's once awesome cameo just isn't the same today, after a doping scandal knocked his name back under Neil's as the most beloved Armstrong.
