Though he's known for an array of amazing films, it was Luther that won him a Golden Globe in 2012. The hit TV series, a crime drama for which Idris plays the title role as a near-genius homicide detective, has won numerous awards since it started in 2010. It's still running today and the highly anticipated fourth series returns on 15th December. As well as that, Idris is known for his impressive work on The American Office and The Wire.
