4 Reasons Why Khan Should Not Be Star Trek 2 Villain

3)Wrath Of Khan Will Always Be Better

Wrath of Khan is considered by many as the best movie in the Star Trek franchise. Apart from the Kirk v Khan element, you had the death of Spock, a crew dealing with the aging process and Kirk having to learn to be a father to a son he hardly knows. The whole film is about life and death and sacrifice. Add to this some superb acting (particularly from Shatner, Nimoy, Deforest Kelly and Montlaban), an amazing soundtrack from James Horner and it the story expertly crafted together by director Nicholas Mayer, its no wonder the film is special to so many people. That means JJ's ''Star Trek 2'' has a lot to live up to if it decides to go down the Khan route. The film will have to be some sort of Space Seed and Wrath Of Khan hybrid. It will have to introduce the Khan character and give him a credible motivation to go against the crew of the Enterprise as well as a fitting demise in the climax. The film will also have to reestablish the Enterprise crew and their relationships with each other while trying to link everything together in an movie that doesn't look like it's trying to do too much. But that's exactly what it would end up doing. There is too much to do in what is the second movie of a rebooted franchise. The first film bought the crew together and in this one they need to show that they can work well together. Rather than let Star Trek's biggest villain get lost in that, they would be better off giving the antagonist role to someone else so that Khan has enough room to really shine in a later film.
