24. Die Hard's Nakamoto Building Is The Fox Plaza

The Nakamoto building in Los Angeles is seized by Hans Gruber and his cronies on Christmas Eve and is systematically destroyed over the course of the movie. The tall building is actually the Fox Plaza, the headquarters of the studio which had just been finished when Die Hard was being shot. Thus those involved in Die Hard are basically trashing their bosses' brand-new home (though a scale model was used for the explosions).

23. Futurama's Bender Is Named After The Breakfast Club Character (Futurama)

Futurama's Bender may be a robot designed to bend steel girders but he actually gets his name from the maverick figure in John Hughes' 1985 film about teenagers finding their identities. We're certain that The Breakfast Club's iconic rebel would be furious if he knew he'd given his name to a robot, the opposite of his radically individual ideals.

Disney and Robin Williams suffered a bitter falling out when they breached the conditions of the contract for Williams accepting low pay. In the sequel, The Return of Jafar, Homer Simpson's voice actor Dan Castellaneta replaced Williams as the Genie.
