40. Chicken With A Tanker (Fast & Furious)

Fast & Furious opens in the Dominican Republic, with Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) attempting to rob a giant tanker, but after the heist goes wrong, Dom finds himself having to save Letty from sure death. They aren't out of the woods then, though, because the fiery remains of the tanker are bouncing down the road towards them, and so Dom has to perfectly time his acceleration to pass beneath the tanker as it flies mere inches above their car, before continuing down the road and exploding into a giant fireball. This was easily the most absurd set-piece in the series up to this point, and in essence set the tone moving forward.
