5 Actors Who Need To Work With Wes Anderson

It€™s no secret that Wes Anderson has a tight-knit group of loyal, go-to actors. Anytime a new film of his is announced, it€™s nothing short of a guarantee that the cast will include either Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, or Jason Schwartzman. In fact, twenty actors (on top of the aforementioned three) have worked (or will work, if we€™re including the upcoming The Grand Budapest Hotel) with the great auteur more than once. So, basically, if you land a role in a Wes Anderson movie, don€™t slack, because there€™s a strong possibility he won€™t forget about you when it comes time to casting his future projects. With all that being said, I came up with a list of five actors who would definitely deliver under some of Wes' direction. Read my picks below, and feel free to add some of your own in the comments section.

1. Christoph Waltz

It€™s amazing what a Quentin Tarantino movie can do for your career. Prior to picking up an Academy Award for his brilliant performance in the director€™s acclaimed 2009 film Inglourious Basterds, Christoph Waltz was not an actor many (read: any) American cinephiles were up on. Four short years later, the German-Austrian actor has an ever-growing resume that includes a Roman Polanski-directed comedy, a second collaboration with QT (which won him a Golden Globe, and may well earn him another Oscar), and an upcoming starring role in Terry Gilliam€˜s The Zero Theorem. It€™s obvious that filmmakers recognize the dude€™s ability to craft a serious, sometimes terrifying performance, and expertly blend it with humor and charm. I think we can all agree that some patented Wes Anderson dialogue would be absolutely perfect coming from the mouth of Mr. Waltz.

One day, an average boy decided to watch Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction, not knowing what he was in store for. That was all it took for the boy's life to be changed forever. Hint: The boy was me. Follow me on the Twitter, @SelfTaughtFilm.
