5 Actors Who Pretended They Weren't In Movies
3. Tilda Swinton - Suspiria
Luca Guadagnino's Suspiria already looks like it'll be a great remake, and part of that comes from the impressive cast he's assembled, which includes Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Lutz Ebersdorf.
Wait, who is that last one?
IMDb will tell you that Ebersdorf, who is playing Dr Jozef Klemperer, is an 82-year-old who fled Nazi Germany in 1938, co-founded the experimental theatre group Piefke Versus in 1957, made a number of short films which are now lost, and eventually gave up the stage to study psychoanalysis, becoming an expert in mother-daughter relationships, before being approached by Guadagnino to make his movie debut in Suspiria. The crew, meanwhile, have pointed out that he is extremely private, hence why he isn't doing interviews.
The real reason, though, is that it's Tilda Swinton, who was spotted on set in prosthetics, wearing a hat and coat like that seen on Dr Klemperer in the trailer.
Need further convincing? His full name is Lutz Ismael Ebersdorf, or just to give his initials: LIE.
