2. Tiger Shark

Tiger Shark is Todd Arliss €“ a record-breaking Olympic swimmer but otherwise an ordinary human. After being exposed to an experimental genetic engineering process by Dr. Dorcas, he becomes an amphibious humanoid with the traits of a human, an Atlantean (Homo mermanus) and a tiger shark. As Tiger Shark, he possesses the same superhuman strength, stamina, water speed and durability as Namor the Sub-Mariner, although he must be immersed in water to achieve and maintain his full strength. Although sometimes presented as something of a joke character - not least because of the fact that some depictions have him looking quite ridiculous - at his best he is a genuine threat to Namor. He has teamed up with numerous super-villains over the years - including Krang, Baron Zemo and Attuma - but has proved himself as a threat to the Sub-Mariner on his own (such as when he kidnapped Lady Dorma - an Atlantean aristocrat and sometimes romantic interest of Namor - and demanded to be crowned Lord of Atlantis). With the right presentation, he could look pretty scary in live action and could potentially become a very popular movie villain.
