4. Brad Bird
Unlike his Pixar chum Andrew Stanton, who provided Disney with their biggest flop on record with John Carter, Brad Bird certainly knows how to thrill audiences with Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Despite having only helmed three films so far (The Iron Giant the best Disney film that Disney never made and The Incredibles: Watchmen for kids) Brad Bird is a man who seems to know exactly what an audience want. The only time I've ever actually recoiled from my cinema seat was during the over the shoulder moment where The Cruiser steps out onto the window during the vertigo inducing sequence on the Burj Khalifa. Bird understands that leaving your brain at the door cinema, doesn't have to be completely idiotic with a plot that seems to harken back to the old days of the TV show. A truly great film, that has me excited for whatever he decides to do next.
