5 Greatest Foreign Fight Scenes. Ever.

3. Oldboy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ufss5ot_vGE Part of a revenge trilogy, Oldboy is actually more of a drama/thriller than a fight movie. If you are on this site, I am sure you've seen it but for perspective; Dae-su Oh has been imprisoned inside a dorm for the past 15 years after being kidnapped on his daughter's birthday. He is released without warning and it seems that his sole purpose is to find out who jailed him and why. Dae-su starts out as kind of a dick but spends those 15 years shadow boxing and growing his confusion into full blown rage. He is able to find his prison via some ingenious method (I couldn't eat potstickers for a month by the way) and, after torturing the €œwarden,€ he leaves. Upon leaving, he is confronted by 25 or so hired thugs/prison guards. Armed only with a hammer, he fights the goons in a hallway. Another continuous shot, Dae-su fights his attackers and prevails. What makes this more awesome is, unlike my boy Tony Ja, Dae-su isn't invincible. He is stabbed, punched, kicked, and hit with 2x4s throughout the fight. And, realistically, he only is able to defeat them by keeping them on one side. He isn't a trained fighter and relies only on instinct to whoop ass. More so, I liked that his attackers don't go after him one at a time but try to pile on to defeat him with sheer numbers. And, all this with a knife in the back. Amazing movie. Amazing fight scene.

Some guys wish they had height. Others lament that they do not have beautiful blue eyes. Still others yearn for a man-status beard. I have all 3. I love movies, video games, sports, and books. I'm an athletic nerd. I hope everyone enjoys my articles and realizes that they are written by a fan; not a snooty know-it-all.
