5 Harry Potter Spin-Offs Potterheads Want To See

3. First Wizarding War

Harry Potter Image Why does the Harry Potter have to be for children? The series has millions of adult fans across the globe, and we could follow an older character through the First Wizarding War, a member of the original Order of the Phoenix. This would most probably be James Potter or Sirius Black, as these are characters that the audience is already familiar with, although James would be a firmer choice, as Sirius has already been shown for a great length of time in the original , leaving more room for James to develop as a character. The war devastated families and scarred many. Sirius told how Voldemort commanded "all manner of dark creatures" and we could witness some of the destruction these creatures inflicted, as well as developing Voldemort and the Death Eater's background. I know I'm not the only one that would cry at seeing Frank and Alice Longbottom tortured (strictly for the adults, see?) and the film (or series) could end with the fall of the Potters. This is an excellent way to add more depth to the wizarding world, showing fans exactly what older wizards, such as Lupin, Molly, Arthur and Dumbledore are fighting for, the costs they felt in the first war and their personal reasons for laying their lives on the line.
