1. Bellatrix Lestrange
Bellatrix Lestrange has always been one of my favourite characters, because her obsession with Voldemort has intrigued me since her first appearance. Is it simply his power that spurs her, or is there an affection for her Dark Lord that she harbours. I feel that her origins should be explored fully, showing us exactly why Bellatrix is willing to sacrifice so much and commit atrocities for Tom Riddle, and how she met him. It would also be fascinating to see exactly why she is so trusted by Voldemort, and how she gained this trust. Her family's influence could play a key role in her dark ways, and it would be interesting to see if her seemingly mad actions and ways are genuine or if she is simply playing a role of a dark witch, exaggerating to enhance her reputation. I would relish the opportunity to see her entry to the darker side of magic, and her reasons for doing so. As before, this could be dark material for a children's film and could be aimed at a slightly older audience of teenagers and adults. So there you have it. Five ideas for an extension to the wizarding world, offering everything from comical relief to canonical information. All would offer valuable insights into the wizarding world which, despite 7 core books and 8 films, we still seem to have merely scratched the surface. I'd be interested to read any other suggestions in the comments below.
