5 Lost Directors Who Still Have One Great Movie In Them

1. John Carpenter

John CarpenterNotable Films: Halloween, Escape From New York, The ThingLast Film: The Ward (2010) I don't think that there has been one director that has had as many of their films remade, as John Carpenter. Halloween, The Thing, The Fog, Assault on Precinct 13. All classics that have been re-suited and booted, withe varying degrees of success. The man tried to recapture his own crown with the somewhat misjudged The Ward, which by no means awful was a far cry from his glory days. Carpenter is a man that seems eager to just coast on past successes, whilst still cashing the cheques his remade properties generate for him. The problem is, we know that he can do so much better than that. Surely the man himself wants to complete his Escape trilogy and make up for the incredibly lackluster LA. Though with word that the original Escape From New York's remake is finally being greenlit, it looks like he won't be returning behind the camera any time soon. Agree with my choices? Is there anyone else that has been coasting that could still hit one out of the park? Let me know in the comments section below.
