4. The Life and Times Of Albus Dumbledore
Considering how important a character Professor Albus Percival Brian Wulfric Dumbledore was to both the story and Harry Potter in general, it is amazing that we only find out Dumbledore's back story in the 7th book, and even then we seem to find it all through mainly second hand information. (You have to remember that the scene in "Kings Cross" seemed to have happened in Harry's head and the story contained information from Rita Skeeter, Elphias Doga and Aberforth Dumbledore). Yet, despite the disrupted backstory, Dumbledore has an incredibly impressive story to tell of his own right. Dumbledore's story even starts with the birth of his sister, Ariana Dumbledore, and her assault, which lead to Percival's imprisonment and Dumbledore's early burden. Dumbledore's story gets more impressive when he arrives at Hogwarts, quickly becoming one of the best pupils to ever enter the school, quickly becoming an incredibly noted student and academic, winning both several Wizarding awards as well as featuring in many significant Wizarding publications. Dumbledore seemingly achieved all of these achievements while still a student at Hogwarts and was seemingly destined for great things. That was until the death of his mother lead to his encounter and the subsequent exposure to Gellert Grindelwald would truly shape the Albus Dumbledore of the future. There is no doubt that the many adventures of Dumbledore throughout his life would make for a series of incredibly fascinating tales.
